ENJOY SHELTER ISLAND
Quinipet is a unique place to visit. Shelter Island is located between the North and South Forks of Long Island, and Quinipet has a spectacular beachfront location on the Peconic Bay.
In addition to relaxing at Quinipet, Shelter Island has much to offer visitors, from taking a refreshing hike at Mashomack Preserve to visiting the local Historical Society and area restaurants. The New York Annual Conference is blessed to own this beautiful place, and we invite our pastors to find rest and retreat here. |
Note:
To get to Shelter Island a ferry is required. See the North Ferry and South Ferry websites for schedules and rates. |
"It has been my annual ritual for many years that I begin a new year there for prayer and rest. Better part of it is its free, and you have awesome nature, and you have ample time to rest and pray in God.
With COVID we have travel restrictions and its not easy to take any vacation away, but you can have a personal exclusive space and time there."
Rev. Hyongdock Yoo at Great Hill United Methodist Church
