Spring & Fall Openings

Located on Shelter Island, between the North and South Forks of Long Island, Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center is a beautiful spot to teach. Quinipet's beachfront location is the perfect place to teach marine education. We also have a low ropes course to facilitate team building and boulders for rock climbing. Curriculum development, teaching, facilitation, marketing and outreach are all part of this well-rounded learning opportunity. Instructors also have the opportunity to develop and implement a signature project, such as a rain garden.

Applicants should be strong communicators, leaders, and passionate about teaching children. Two interns are hired for each spring and fall season; September-early November and mid March-early June. Compensation includes a weekly salary, private room in staff housing, staff kitchen, meals (when groups have food service), free laundry facilities, and training. Applicants must have or be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have experience working with children.
