Activities
& Electives

2023 Camp Registration is Now Open!

PLEASE NOTE!
The program descriptions below are pre-COVID-19. For summer 2021 we are working hard to preserve the spirit and range of activities as best as we can, while keeping camper and staff safety paramount. We will update families with any programming modifications once guidelines and protocols have been established by the NYS Dept of Health. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Be well!

Activities & Electives

Camp on an island is just as much fun as it sounds! Since 1947, the NY Conference of The United Methodist Church has provided this special place for children, complete with a full program of land and waterfront activities fostering children’s confidence, cooperative skills and connection to the natural world.

Off Camp Trips

Explore more of Shelter Island by taking a trip off camp on one of the following adventures! These trips are offered to both Overnight and Day Campers according to age.

  • Tubing - Keep calm and float on! This trip is offered to campers age 7+.
*Campers must complete a swim test upon arrival to demonstrate comfort in open bay water, as specified by the NY State Department of Health. The swim test consists of four laps in the deep end of the swim area without stopping, treading water for 1 minute, and floating on the back for 1 minute. Campers who are non swimmers or not strong swimmers may opt out of the swim test and will swim only in the shallow area.

'I had so much fun with new friends. It was the best week of camp I've ever had. I wish I could go for two weeks instead of one!'
